I received my Julep box on Monday, but I wanted a few days to review it to give you my honest opinion. I received the boho glam box and this is my first Julep box besides my first intro box. I am disappointed that I missed the new intro box by a month. I would have much preferred receiving one of those. For those of you that do not know, Julep is a monthly subscription box of nail polish that costs $19.99 a month. What I like about this subscription box, is that you can preview the box and choose to skip it for the month (without being charged), or change the style to another.
The theme of this months box is the Garden Party.
The box is hot pink with cute white flower detailing. I personally like the added feminine touch and detail.
Francis is the green color and it reminds me of a bright, almost highlighting grass color. It almost has a lime cast to it but not quite. It retails for $14.00 and the maven member price is $11.20
I find Lois to be a mauve-rose petal color with a frosty sheen. It is a very pretty feminine neutral that would be a good everday go to color that will be nice for transitioning into fall. This also retails for $14.00 and the maven member price is $11.20
I also got the double step foot treatment and wasn’t quite sure what to expect of it. I thought meh about it to be honest. I thought this wouldn’t be much special, but I was pleasantly surprised. It has a soft peppermint smell that isn’t overpowering. What I liked about it was it did soften my feet up and I liked that it gave a tingling sensation. Whether or not it protects from blisters, I do not know, but it does soften your feet. This product retails for $22.00 and the maven price is $17.60.
From my understanding, Julep always throws in an extra something for fun in their boxes. They decided to add in a packet of forget me not seeds. I think this is a cute and whimsical idea that fits the Garden theme perfectly. I do see how this can be a disappointment to those who do not garden nor have the means to do so. I personally will not be planting them right away as they do best when planted in spring. I will either save these until then, or add them to a Easter basket for my mom or a friend.
Overall the box contents equal to about $40.00- $50.00 not including the price of the seeds.
